They buzz in your ear all night, bite your ankles and come back the moment you turn off the lights. Mosquito Execution is a free browser game where you finally get to pay them back.

Tape one to the wall and pull its legs off one by one with tweezers, freeze it and smash it with a hammer, or suck your blood back out with a syringe. No download, no sign-up, and it works on your phone too.

How to play

1. Press PLAY. The lights come on and a mosquito flies in.
2. Pick a tool from the bar at the bottom, then tap, swipe or hold on a mosquito. On PC, number and letter keys switch tools.
3. Release a swarm to bring in a crowd and wipe them out with the compactor or the blender.
4. Every execution method fills your log, and the right sequence of tools triggers hidden combo recipes.

19 execution tools

Tape

Tap a mosquito to tape it to the wall, nice and big. Perfect for tweezers. Tap it again to rip it off, tape and all.

Tweezers

Grab an antenna, proboscis, palp, head, leg segment or wing and pull until it tears off. On a taped mosquito you can pull out the abdomen or squeeze the thorax.

Knife

Swipe to slash. Cut across the neck, waist, leg joints or antennae to sever them. Hold to keep stabbing.

Pistol

Hold for rapid fire. Head = headshot. Legs and antennae get shot off.

Hammer

Three hits and it's flat. You can keep pounding the pancake. A frozen mosquito shatters in one blow.

Fist

Punches every mosquito in reach. Flying ones get launched into the wall and burst. Hold for a flurry.

Foot

Stomp the floor. Hold to grind it in. Flattened corpses turn to mush the more you stomp.

Press

Hold to lower a steel plate from the ceiling and flatten everything under it.

Compactor

Hold to close the walls in from both sides and crush every mosquito on screen into one cube.

Laser needle

Stick the needle into a blood-filled belly and hold: it swells, then bursts. Anywhere else gets seared.

Freeze spray

Spray to freeze solid. Frozen mosquitoes shatter under the hammer, gun, knife, fist or foot.

Flamethrower

Keep the flame on it: the wings burn first, then the rest, down to ash.

Electric swatter

Press it against a mosquito to electrocute. Hold to keep frying.

Insect pin

Pins it right where you stick it: belly, head, legs, wings. One pin barely hurts, so stick in plenty and torment it with other tools.

Power drill

Hold it against the body to bore holes and grind it out. Legs and antennae snap off.

Chainsaw

Hold to run the chain. Touch or sweep it across and whatever it catches gets sawn off.

Syringe

Stick it in the belly and hold to suck your blood back out. Stick it in the chest or head to pump in air until the belly bursts.

Bug spray

One spray and it convulses, drops, and dies on its back with its legs kicking.

Blender

Tap mosquitoes to drop them in, one by one (up to 8). Hold on an empty spot to blend them all at once.

Bloated Queen

A giant that drank so much blood her belly is about to burst. Pop it for a blood fountain.

3 A.M. Phantom

Nearly invisible. Follow the buzz and the heat shimmer. Hit it and it shows itself for a moment.

Steel Mosquito

Knives, bullets and needles bounce off. Freeze it, or heat it red-hot and quench it, and it cracks. Electricity goes right through.

Splitter

Every kill splits it into smaller mosquitoes. Deal with them all at once.
